Modal Hijab Care Guide: How to Keep Everyday Hijabs Soft
Simple washing, drying, and storage habits that help modal hijabs hold their drape and color longer.

Modal hijabs are popular because they feel soft, breathe well, and drape without too much stiffness. They also deserve gentler care than a basic synthetic scarf.
Wash modal hijabs in cold water with similar colors. Use a mild detergent and avoid heavy fabric softeners, which can coat the fibers and change the hand feel. If possible, place scarves in a mesh wash bag so they do not twist around zippers or hooks.
Air drying is best. Hang the hijab over a smooth rack or lay it flat, then steam lightly if needed. High heat can shrink or weaken soft fibers, so avoid hot dryer settings when you want the scarf to keep its original length and drape.
Store daily hijabs by color family so outfits are easier to build. Roll or fold them loosely instead of crushing them under heavier items. If a shade becomes part of your weekly rotation, buy two; everyday neutrals disappear from drawers fast.
Noor & Grace focuses on hijab colors that repeat well across abayas, dresses, and prayer sets, because the best scarf is the one you reach for without thinking.
